Trauma is stored in fascia, in autonomic tone, and in the patterns of how the body holds itself when it expects threat. Talk therapy reaches the meaning; body-based work reaches the storage. This practice operates on the storage layer — carefully, slowly, in full collaboration with whatever clinical care you're already in.
This is not a substitute for trauma-focused psychotherapy. It is a complement. Somatic bodywork and Reiki give the nervous system a safe, embodied container in which to discharge what's been held. Clients in EMDR, IFS, or trauma-focused CBT often report that integration deepens once body-based work is added.
Sessions are titrated. The practice is trauma-informed throughout — pace, contact, depth, and verbal engagement are negotiated up front and adjustable in the moment. You retain authority over your own body and session at all times.
Most clients with a trauma history start with somatic therapy alone for the first few sessions, then layer in fascia and Reiki once the nervous system has established a relationship with the practitioner. The Spiral Prana Hardware Reset is available once that baseline trust is in place.
Outcall and by-appointment sessions across Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket.
